Victorian Lady Mycroft - Ellicott City Photoshoot 2014
Lady Mycroft disapproves of you. She also worries about you. Constantly. But thank goodness she’s always got her parasol on hand - after all, field work is not her natural milieu.
A few more pictures back of my Victorian Lady Mycroft design!! I’m so used to cosplaying smiling, bubbly characters, so it was a ton of fun to be grumpy and pompous as Mycroft! I worked so hard to get that frown right… The main fabric of this garment was a mohair linen blend - lightweight, breathable, pricey and oh so worth it. I’m very proud of the fit on this bodice! All of the undergarments were made by me as well, which actually made fitting the outer garments so much easier. The silhouette is late-1870s natural form, all made with Truly Victorian patterns based on period accurate construction. My spectacular John and Sherlock who I made these with went with a more modern late-1880s bustle silhouette, so it made sense for Mycroft to be a bit old-fashioned!
More pictures and breakdowns of this cosplay can be found here!
The family business…
IS THAT ADAM IN THE CAGE
I bet John is a zero coke because that’s the number of fucks he gave about his children.
oh look, they’re all empty inside
WAS THAT NECESSARY
I am dead at Adam.
Also, Adam isn’t empty! Also, I like how Sams name is the same color as johns because he was always more like their dad but deans name is white with red around it because he always tried to be like their dad but never really was.

British researchers have created the ‘new black’ of the science world - and it is being dubbed super black.
The material absorbs all but 0.035 per cent of light, a new world record, and is so dark the human eye struggles to discern its shape and dimension, giving the appearance of a black hole.
Named Vantablack, or super black, it also conducts heat seven and half times more effectively than copper, and is ten times stronger than steel.
It is created by Surrey NanoSystems using carbon nanotubes, which are 10,000 thinner than human hair and so miniscule that light cannot get in but can pass into the gaps in between.
I wanna wear it
